Siri just saved a man from a stroke

Siri just made headlines today for saving a man from a stroke. The virtual assistant allows you to control your iPhone using only your voice. For 24 -year-old, Rob Belt, this feature saved his life.

After the teacher finished dropping off a package on his way home, he started to feel a little dizzy. His condition only got worse as time went on and he knew something was wrong. Belt reported that he felt like he had “downed 10 pints” and started to see double.

As he was getting weaker, Rob knew that he had to seek help now. Unfortunately, as he pulled out his iPhone, he realized he couldn’t see straight enough to dial the phone.

Lucky for him, Siri was activated, and he was able to use voice commands. He managed to push the home screen button on his Apple iPhone and asked Siri to call his fiancée.

“I think I’m going to die,” was all he had to say before his fiancée jumped into action. She called up his mother who thankfully worked close by. Belt’s mother ran right to his location where she found him slumped over in his car and she managed to get him to emergency services.

Rob Belt is expected to make a full recovery, thanks to Siri’s voice commands. If it wasn’t for this life-saving feature, he might not have gotten the help he needed.
