Siri has arguably been the most popular voice assistant of them all, but HomePod users are not impressed in the least. Apple’s voice assistant has always had a few troubles since her launch, but many were expecting more from the HomePod.
The Apple HomePod, the newest of mainstream smart speakers, has not been doing quite as well as its competition. There was already some concerns over Apple’s new smart speaker, and it seems to have only fallen under more criticism since its recent launch.
What exactly is the problem? Well, it’s not that the HomePod is bad, but rather can’t keep up with the competition. Siri is having a lot of problems understanding its users. She is really failing at many voice commands which is kind of the point of a smart speaker.
To top it all off, the HomePod sports a much higher price tag than its competitors without delivering on the service. Although there is still plenty of time for Apple to release some much-needed updates to fix this, many users have already been left a little cheated.
Sure, the quality of the speaker is excellent, but the quality of the user interaction with the AI assistant is what makes a smart speaker. Only time will tell if Apple can fix this one, until then, it seems many people are sticking to Alexa for now.
