Older Androids and Tablets Welcome Google Assistant

Google has just recently announced that they will be expanding Google Assistant compatibility to some older Android devices. This means that you will no longer have to have the most recent smartphone or tablet to utilize the popular virtual personal assistant.

Ever since Google Assistant was announced back in 2016, people have been anticipating its release. Initially, it appeared as a part of Allo, a Google messaging app, and Google Home as it allows for two-way conversation engagement. As time went on, it became available other android devices as well.

As Google Assistant’s compatibility expanded, it became available on more and more Android devices. This allowed the program to be more accessible as people didn’t need to invest in the newest technologies to use it.

In fact, it will be able to run on Android phones running 5.0 Lollipop and tablets running on Android 7.0 Nougat/ 6.0 Marshmallow. In other words, people with devices dating as far back as 2014 will be able to use Google assistant.

This can be an excellent thing for small business owners who would benefit from Google Assistant but do not have the funds to invest in new devices. The program makes it easy to handle orders, customer service, keep appointments, and stay organized -just like a real secretary only you don’t need to pay a salary!

It’s hard to say how Google Assistant will continue to expand. Judging by its popularity since its launch, we can expect some exciting things for 2018!
