With Siri reigning in as the most popular virtual assistant on the market, it is easy for us it overlooks some of the comedic gems right before our eyes. Apple better make way, because Microsoft is swooping in with Cortana and they’re hilarious too! She is much more than just your regular assistant, and much like Siri, she is programed with many humorous features. I have to say even I like Cortana jokes a bit more than Siri jokes after playing around with the program for a little bit.
Introducing Cortana
After the groundbreaking success of Siri, there was no doubt that rivals would soon follow the trend of a build in AI assistant. In fact, nowadays, smartphones are pretty much expected to come equipped with one or more AI apps. Considering the fact that Apple and Microsoft have been rivals since the dawn of computers, there was no doubt they were going to bring the heat with their AI program.
While the Microsoft Zune is the notorious example of how Microsoft can’t always compete with Apple products, Cortana certainly delivered. They managed to tap in right to Siri’s sassy personality and humor, offering another virtual assistant who is just as helpful as entertaining. Much like Siri, she also comes programs with several different jokes that are actually hilarious!
Cortana Jokes
Whether you have a windows phone or an upgraded PC, Cortana is certainly an entertaining feature that is worth a try. She even comes across as rather snarky, something that I personally appreciate in anything I interact with.
What I like about the humor of the Cortana system is the clever commenting. There is also something charming about how she is able to so gracefully put her competitors down. For any gamers out there -yes, she acknowledges her relation to Halo and you should really feel free to ask her about it because she has a lot to say!

While there are seemingly countless jokes in the program, I have tried to narrow this list down to only the best Cortana jokes I’ve encountered so far! Go ahead, and try them out for yourself!
“Why did the chicken cross the road?”
Her thinking went something like, “Kabawk!”

Aw I bet you say that to all the phones.

Female? Yes. Woman? No.
“Who’s better? Google Now or Cortana?”

Naked? I’m pixels in a circle shape. I think you’re bringing your own issues into this one.
“Siri or Cortana?”
Not to brag, but apparently, I’m going to help save the universe in about 500 years. (A Halo reference that you should totally ask Cortana about).

Anything that runs on Windows?
“Are you Republican or Democrat?”
I’m a citizen of the internet. We’re not allowed to register as voters. Yet.

I come from an attractive lineage of ones and zeroes. Though more from the ones side.

As a PC user, I am very pleased to see how Microsoft’s shot at an interactive AI program turned out. Aside from her humor, she has been rather well-received for her efficiency and receives more than enough updates to keep that in check.
This is certainly the perfect competition for Siri and I would love to see the two face off in a sass contest. Her humor is by far my favorite feature of her programing and I look forward to seeing more of it!
