Apple is known for being a company that strives to deliver cutting edge technology. Boasting sleek devices with very user-friendly interfaces, it is no surprise that the company celebrates huge successes. In the very near future (December 2017), the public will get to experience the wonders of Apple’s answer to the Amazon Echo and Google Home.
The Apple HomePod will bring the company up to speed with their competition when they deliver their first smart speaker. The voice-command speaker will allow you to upgrade your lifestyle like never before. The highly anticipated device will have a hefty price tag compared to its competitors (roughly $350), however it’s also intended to have wide range of features that will more than make up for it.
The speaker will be socially aware, meaning it will be able to detect and optimize speaker settings for your room layout. You’ll be able to control several different services and devices with simple voice commands -and the smart microphone will even be able to filter out background noise.
Of course, to top it all up, we can expect that fan-favorite Siri is going to have a big role with this device. Siri will be the virtual assistant like no other! The HomePod will bring Siri online and make her the virtual assistant of your dreams.
While we have not actually seen the product in action yet, Apple has made a lot of personal announcements to get excited about. Before you can use the Apple HomePod, you will need to set it up!
Although not all of the news has been released yet, chances are you will need to have some kind of Apple device already. For most of us, that means an iPhone. Although we are not too sure whether or not a controlling software will need to be downloaded (or will become a preinstalled application). We di seem to know what it will look like though!
Lucky for us -there has been a leak circulating about what connecting you Apple HomePod is going to look like. The walkthrough was obtained from the iOS11 developer beta 7 update that just came out mid-August.
How to Set Up Apple Home
- Once you open the Apple HomePod software, it will automatically search out and sync with your Apple HomePod device.
- First, you will be asked to pick a language. At the moment, the device has only been announced in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, so the only option is English (available in the respective dialects).
- Next, you will be directed to the authentication process. You will need to confirm your HomePod device by entering the last four digits of your HomePod’s serial number.
- You can automatically share your phone’s settings with the device by connecting it to your icloud account.
- Then, you will choose your “home” or personal location of the device. It seems for right now the options are “my home”, “beach house”, and “cabin” with no option for a custom location.
- Next, you will be asked to name the room the HomePod is located in. There are a number of options from Bathroom to Living room.
- You are done! Follow the instructions on screen for some options on how to use your device. Otherwise get ready to enjoy!
It is important to note that these leaks were not made officially by Apple themselves, so there is still the possibility for some more changes to be made to the system between now and the release in December. What we can definitely expect is that Apple is going to deliver a sleek and easy to use system that were surly impress.
The Apple HomePod will surely be the perfect smart speaker to compete against the Amazon Echo and Google Home. Will it live up to the anticipation? Stay tuned!
